The NJCHS (National Joint Committee on Health and Safety) has volunteered their time over the last couple weeks serving meals at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen in downtown Detroit, as part of their department’s community activities.

The Capuchin Soup Kitchen has been serving Detroit for over 125 years providing food, clothing and nourishment for the soul and spirit.  True to their Franciscan heritage, when a need has been uncovered, the Capuchin Soup Kitchen has responded to those needs by providing Meal Programs,  Substance Abuse Services, Earthworks Urban Farm, Children’s Programs and a lot more.
